On Tuesday, June 19th at 5:30pm at the Hughen Center,  Motiva Enterprises - Port Arthur Refinery will present a check in the amount of $10,000 to Jeff Kuchar, Director of Hughen Center and the Board of Directors.

Headquartered in Houston, Motiva Enterprises LLC is a U.S. joint venture as of July 1998 between Shell Oil Company, Texaco and Saudi Aramco.  Motiva refines and markets Texaco-and Shell-branded products in 26 East and Gulf Coast states and Washington, D.C.

The Hughen Center is a nationally recognized institution that provides essential services to children and adults with physical disabilities.  The school’s programs combine quality medical care, education, therapies, and life-skills training for students from 5 to 21 years of age.

The $10,000 grant will help fund the summer program, as well as, the ongoing programs throughout the year. The summer program continues to enable dozens of handicapped youngsters to be provided on-going physical and occupational therapy, nursing care and recreations during the six-week period.  Several certain adapted recreational programs that build social skills, teach cooperation and teamwork is incorporated into the summer program.

On Saturday, June 2^nd, Motiva employees Marc McConnell, Chester Garner, Roy VanHess and Darrell Segura sponsored a day of fun for the Hughen students.  These gentlemen will be on hand for the check presentation by Mr. Tom Purves, Refinery Manager for Motiva.
