Hurricane Rita Update #6

The Motiva Port Arthur Refinery began a safe and orderly shutdown on Thursday morning in anticipation of the effects of Hurricane Rita. Motiva will maintain essential personnel on site to ensure around-the-clock safety and security, as well as to provide hurricane impact assessment and restart support. At this time, we cannot confirm a schedule for resuming operations and production.

Our number one priority continues to be the protection of people, the community and the environment.
